Amity Technology was founded in 1996 by Howard and Brian Dahl and other former Concord, Inc. shareholders.  The Company is the world’s leading manufacturer of sugar beet harvesters and defoliators.  It also manufactures its own planting and air seeding implements.  Currently employing 115 full time employees in it sole manufacturing facilities in Fargo, the company relies on world-wide sales and a complement of spring and fall season products to level the production schedule.

Amity Technology’s 80,000 square foot facilities offers many manufacturing capabilities which include laser cutting, fabrication, machining, welding, painting and assembly.  Its latest investment in production capabilities include a powder paint system, robotic welding, and a large CNC horizontal machining center.

The company has adapted products that originally found good acceptance in the domestic market for the much broader export market.  It also has functioned as export agent for other agricultural equipment manufacturers in the markets it knows best, especially the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).  In many of the past several years, export sales exceeded domestic.  Roughly 90% of sugar beets are raised outside of North America.
